Use these patches at your own risk! All patches were created with a BOSS OC-2 analog octaver in the GT-10B effects loop. Without an OC-2 in the loop the patches will sound poor, bad, or **** HAVE A SIGNIFICANT VOLUME BOOST OF 20dB OR MORE!!! ****

The OC-2 was set to solo OCT1 at around 3 O'clock and provides the core octave down and synth sound that the patches are then built upon. In some cases the OC-2 is specifically overdriven by feeding it an extremely hot signal (+20dB or more) which causes the OC-2 to clip for a very lo-fi type sound.

When trying the patches note that some, but not all, have assigns to CTRL1, CTRL2, EXP PDL, and EXP SW. One patch in particular, exp_pdl_synth, has a pitch shifter assigned permenantly to the pedal, and an additional pitch shifter set to the EXP PDL SW to push the note another octave higher for a fun effect of an octave up ramp via the EXP PDL, then when hitting the EXP PDL SW play your bass another octave higher for a fun an interesting super octave jump with delay trails applied only when the EXP PDL is at the toe.

All of the arpeggio patches utilize beat-synced WAVE PDL controls over a pitch shifter for some really interesting and unique sounds. However, as far as I can tell you have absolutely no control over LFO reset and thus you cannot accurately control when the arpeggio will start/stop in the sequence. So the entire band would need to sync to the arpeggio if you were going to attempt to use it in a song application. Hopefully my ideas on arpeggios with the pitch shifter can give someone smarter than me some ideas on how to provide functionality like this in a more usable/controllable manner.

If you find just one patch here you enjoy I'll consider it a success.

Note that I created all of these patches manually and directly on the GT-10B and only used Gumtown's excellent floorboard utility to back them up so I could share them here. Just sharing that trivia so you know it is actually possible to create patches with the GT-10B hardware interface. :)

Enjoy,
